Eyes locked straight onto me,” he said. “At that point it starts running towards me. And that's when I panicked, to an extent.” Then, as h...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the breathtaking, panoramic views of Mount St. Helens, Mount Adams, and Mount Hood, calling it a 'great day' with a 'nice drive.' The natural reclamation of the landscape is also appreciated. However, the lack of services and limited operating hours are noted drawbacks.

"Great day nice drive up to Windy Ridge to see Mt Saint Helen..and the bonus to also see Mt. Adam and Mt Hood in Oregon."

Ed Smith

"Cascade Peaks use to be the only place where you could buy souvenirs and buy packaged food and water (Randle is the only closest second option). In the 2000s, Cascade Peaks fell into disrepair and was abandoned. About 6 years later it was operated by volunteers until 2016/2017. The place was closed in 2018 due to the road opening late. There is no longer food that I am aware, here, any longer. There is plenty of parking in the lot and new facilities. Views of Mount St. Helens, Mt. Hood and Mount Adams are visible here."

Mira Messinger-Bruer

"Windy Ridge is always fun. It's great to see 40 yrs later how nature has taken over."
