Reviews Summary

Volcom Skatepark Costa Mesa is a well-loved, free public park packed with diverse features like a kidney pool and street elements. Visitors praise its cleanliness, shady areas, and suitability for various skill levels, though it can get uncomfortably crowded with younger skaters and schools. The surrounding green space and safety make it a community treasure.

"This is a great park. They packed a lot into it for the small amount of space it takes up. Nice shady areas to chill. Nice bowl as well."

"Large skatepark with a few different zones. Most people skate the really fun mini bowl or go up the euro gap/wallie ledge. The large bowl can be fun if you enjoy 6ft+ transition. It has lights and there is a shady zone. There are some questionable features but overall it’s built well. It can get unbearably crowded with little kids and skate schools. A tall fence surrounding the entire park is always a bummer."

Vasiliy Volkov

"I stopped by for a look on the way to the OC Fairgrounds. I’ve seen better, tho this skatepark was amazing, as was some of the skateboarders here!
While the basic steps and ramps were expected and simple, dropping into a bowl here may need some carving practice beforehand!
Deep dips and steep walls on one side, seemed almost impossible for the average person to maneuver, much less trying to ride the rims without falling in.
When the skateboarders did have mess-ups, they were able to avoid the uncontrollable wipe outs, and come out of it unscathed!"
