Reviews Summary
Fitton Green Natural Area is widely praised for its gorgeous scenery, making it a top spot for photography and family outings. Visitors love the beautiful views, especially at sunset, and the enjoyable, kid-friendly loop trail. However, the extremely limited parking and occasional lack of clear trail markings are recurring drawbacks.
"Gorgeous. Just amazing. Heard about this place through a client and instantly fell in love with it. Perfect for senior photos, families, and couples photos! It may be one of my go-to spots for photos and just hiking with my family. The few times I have been here the weather has been amazing and there wasn't too many people. Right before sunset is an amazing view from the top. The loop is pretty easy, kid friendly, and not too long.
The parking lot is TINY though, maybe 8 cars can fit?"

"This is one of the most beautiful hikes in the Corvallis area! I try to go there during the summertime when I get a chance with my dog."

"Fitton Green Natural Area is a great place to visit in any season.
- In the Spring, the forest is lush and green. Streams are full of water and young plants are starting to sprout up. Leaves are returning to the deciduous trees. The trails are muddy and fragile. Because of this, horses and mountain bikes are not allowed until the start of the dry season.
- In Summer, trails dry off flowers are in full bloom, blackberries grow, and it's fun to mountain bike through Fitton Green down to the Vineyards for a picnic.
- In Fall, temperatures cool, rain returns, colors change, leave drop, and the mushroom forests explode with new growth.
- In Winter, it's wet and chilly with a chance of snow on the trails. With many leafless trees, there's a good chance of spotting wildlife like deer, bobcats, coyotes, squirrels, chipmunks, and rabbits. The Mary's River will be near it's peak as will the feeder streams. Trails and very wet and muddy so if you venture on Fitton Green in the winter, bring a clean, dry pair of shoes for the trip home."
