There is a small story trail available for littles close to the picnic and playground areas and larger trails, about 2-5 miles, depending on your route. Parking areas are available inside and outside of the park, but check on the hours before considering parking inside."

If you haven't used a bird identification app before, I recommend downloading the Merlin app, start a Sound ID recording while walking the trails, and watch all the birds that pop up on the found species list. My wife and I did this the last time we went and there were Painted Buntings all over the preserve. Most of them were out of sight but eventually we were able to find a couple."
