What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Middle Road Covered Bridge for its secluded, peaceful atmosphere and historic charm. It's a great spot for a quiet escape, though river access can be limited by water levels and 'no trespassing' signs. Be mindful of the rural road conditions and lack of facilities.
"A great covered bridge down a dirt/stone road off the beaten path. We were there for about an hour and didn't as much as hear another vehicle. Peaceful serenity."
Jeremy Schindorff
"Water was too high to enjoy the river view. Lost more walk zones due to washed away dirt. There is nice pull off parking. Trees are filling in by bridge. No restrooms. Be careful as on North side is a tight turn so hard to see tourists in the road. So stay on the east side and not downhill traffic side. Beautiful bridge and nice river to play in when low water."
Carole Klaue
"Remote country area with space to pull over on the southern end of this bridge. There is a box offering free Ashtabula county maps in this little pullover area. There are no trespassing signs on both sides of the road surrounding the bridge making access to the water below difficult for walking or fishing in the area."
