What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Atlas Waterfront Park's beauty, cleanliness, and amenities, particularly the dog park and river access. It's praised as a hidden gem for families and pet owners. However, some reviewers express frustration with a minority of visitors not adhering to leash laws outside the dog park, leading to occasional issues with cleanliness and safety.
"This is a hidden gem. Great for photos. The park is super clean and nice and the bathrooms are new. Nice parking. Great swimming area. I love the dog park and that they have a hose to rinse your dog off after. That helps a lot. I just wish people would follow the laws and have their dogs on a leash outside of the dog park. Also using common sense like keep your dog on a leash right when you go inside and introduce them to the other dogs in case there's any beef or anyone wants to fight you still have control of your dog. A lot of people here have no common sense and it ruins it for everyone else. But the park itself is nice and so beautiful."

"Absolutely gorgeous park with the water access for swimming , including handicapped access area at the beach. Thanks to a city mayor and his team who did a nice thing providing such a gorgeous area for people and even building fenced dog park (with water access as well) next to a general beach area. Sunsets are beautiful and landscape is gorgeous.
However every time we are going to the park I am appalled to see how many dog owners choose to ignore signage. Instead of taking their pets to the designated large dog park , they take their dogs into a general area . Some let their dogs running loose without a leash.Result is -> dog’s poop piles are everywhere. To those who is not aware - dog feces transmit diseases. I hope every some bech pet owner, who is inconsiderate of others eat their dog feces one day.
P.s I was a pet owner in a past and love dogs, but I would not allow my pet where it is not supposed to be . I hope city start fining people who breaks the rules."

"Very nice park, very little parking, so it doesn'get too crowded, and there's a lot of area to roam around along the Spokane River. There are also a lot of people traveling by on the centennial trail. There are some apartments and shops and houses in the area. There are a lot of places for kids to play and places to get in the water. Dogs are only allowed in designated areas."
