What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Chippewa Area History Center for its modern facility, diverse exhibits covering Native American heritage to the logging boom, and friendly volunteers. While the interactive elements and scavenger hunt are great for families, some suggest clearer signage and better artifact descriptions for an even better experience.
"While intown to see family with local community ties of almost 175 years, I decided to stop for a visit. Exterior of building is beautiful. I largely enjoyed the displays, but a few area to consider improvements would be:
-give guests space to absorb the atmosphere upon entry
-brochure or map of displays within the building
-bathroom and elevator signage
-descriptions closer to & able to distinguish multiple artifacts within a single display"

Matthew Sam
"Built in 2020, this facility is large and well kept. This is a great place for kids since there are a lot of interactive exhibits and a scavenger hunt. Adults will also enjoy the variety of history from Native American culture to the fur trade to the wars. The volunteers were very kind and it was a good price for what all was inside. I would go again."
