I was so pumped to see a key piece of Ohio history, but I knew something was up when I saw a handful of people standing outside the visitor center. I looked through the doors to see that it was locked due to giving a guided tour, and a note said they'd be back soon (not a set time). I wonder if it was ultimately due to staffing issues
After giving it some time, it was clear that I could not tour the mansion in my allotted timeframe, so I drove to the overlook, took in the Great Seal, and left. For such an important part of our state's history, this is unacceptable and the people of Ohio deserve better."
