"Great hike with spectacular views! Out and back, up then down. Not too long or difficult, and good shade coverage for hiking on a hot day. The trail is well groomed and easy to follow until the falls, then becomes a little more sketchy, but fine.
The views of the mountains and Ouray were incredible. The waterfall was beautiful, and we saw some dogs playing in the water, living their best lives. The abandoned mines were a very cool bit of history to see and walk through.
We parked at the amphitheatre picnic area. It took us 3.5 h to hike with lots of dilly dallying :)"
