What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Soldier Field is celebrated for its incredible atmosphere, especially during concerts and Chicago Bears games, with many praising its scenic lakeside location and historic charm. While food and exit logistics can be challenging, the overall experience is often described as memorable and energetic.
"First time coming to Soldier Field. Certainly a memorable occasion. We saw My Chemical Romance and Devo Friday night then System Of A Down & Avenged Sevenfold on Labor Day Monday. Both concerts were amazing. The pictures just don't do justice to actually being there. The vibe, the energy and being in the crowd was awesome."

"We were really excited to visit Soldier Field in Chicago, an iconic stadium, to see the return of one of the greatest bands ever, Oasis. The stadium itself was really impressive, just as we had expected, and it held the sound of the band perfectly, creating an incredible atmosphere for such a special night.
As first-time visitors, we did find it a little tricky to figure out the right entrance, but once inside, everything was straightforward. The price of food and drinks was as outrageous as we had been warned, but to be fair, the service was good when we did buy something, and the queues moved along surprisingly well.
Getting out of the stadium at night was, let’s just say, interesting. A lot of the exits were closed off, which created big bottlenecks of people all trying to leave at the same time. On top of that, a large part of the walk back toward the city was poorly lit, which could easily become dangerous if you are not careful.
Despite those minor issues, Soldier Field was a fantastic venue, and we are really glad to have experienced it. The atmosphere, the music, and being part of such a huge moment for Oasis fans made it a night to remember."

"Soldier Field is an iconic Chicago venue that delivers an impressive experience, whether you’re there for a Bears game, a concert, or another large event. Its location right along the lakefront makes it not only convenient but also one of the most scenic stadiums you’ll visit. What stands out most, however, is how well the stadium balances its historic charm with a modern event experience.
Food options are plentiful, and there’s something for just about everyone. From Chicago-style classics to more modern stadium fare, the variety makes it easy to grab a meal or snack without feeling limited to the basics. It’s a nice upgrade compared to many older stadiums where the choices are slim.
If you’re heading to a concert, I recommend grabbing seats in the stands rather than on the field. While the idea of being close to the stage is tempting, the stands give you a clearer view without the worry of obstructed sightlines from people in front of you. Plus, Soldier Field’s sound system is excellent—superior to many other large venues—so you won’t miss a beat no matter where you sit.
The practical aspects of the stadium are also surprisingly good. The bathrooms, which are often a nightmare at large events, are cleaner and better maintained than expected. It’s a small but important detail that makes a big difference in the overall experience.
One tip: if you’re planning to buy merchandise, skip the outdoor stands. The lines are much longer outside, and once you get in, you’ll find that the indoor options move faster. Also, keep in mind that solid color bags are not allowed into the venue, so plan ahead if you’re carrying personal items.
Overall, Soldier Field provides a smooth, enjoyable event experience and lives up to its reputation as a Chicago landmark."

Over the decades, Soldier Field has undergone significant renovations, most notably a major overhaul completed in 2003 that modernized the facility while preserving its historic character. This blend of old and new is a key part of its appeal, offering a sense of tradition alongside contemporary amenities. Experiencing Events at Soldier Field
When it comes to food and drinks, expect typical stadium prices, which can be high. However, the variety of options is generally good, catering to different tastes. Navigating the stadium can be a bit confusing initially, with different gates for entry and exit, so paying attention to signage is key.
