What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Faust Historic Village for its well-maintained historic buildings and the dedication of its volunteers. It offers a pleasant stroll through a bygone era, with an online guide enhancing the experience. However, some visitors note disappointment when interior access is limited, wishing for more opportunities to explore the inside of the homes.
"The buildings here are well taken care of after being saved from demolition for new development of the land they formerly stood on. I was at the open house they have on the weekend and the volunteers that they had were helpful in showing what life was like and in informing people about the history of the buildings. It is also nice to just walk through it. While you do that there is an online guide to the buildings on the County Park website that is interesting."

"This "village" is a collection of old buildings, most of which were donated to the St. Louis County Parks and relocated from various places around St. Louis. They include houses, a school building, a barn, a blacksmith shop, and other structures. Makes for a fun stroll."
Frecky Lewis
"This tiny village of homes and buildings (in Faust Park in Chesterfield) from the 1850+ shows the simplicity of life and its fundamental agrarian nature. Sadly none of the buildings are open to view, so you miss the most important part of life in this era. Nonetheless, a pleasant stroll through days gone by."
