"Amazing hike, the scenery is otherworldly. It is a strenuous hike with the tough section before the view point and at the beginning. The middle section is flat ish. there is limited shade in the middle section. Highly recommend poles and lots of water. The road to the trailhead is dirt and narrow, basically one lane. We went to the view point and were not disappointed. Hands down one of the best hikes we have done. Clocks in around 5.7 miles, we are slow hikers so took us around 4 hours. We started at 9:45 and still spots in the lot on a weekday in May."

"Visited here and did the Chesler Park / Joint Trail loop hike in early November. Heard from someone I met in Rocky Mountain National Park that he liked the Needles District better than the Grand Canyon and that the Chesler Park / Joint Trail hike was his favorite hike he could remember. I was on the fence about doing the before the recommendation, but the glowing review put me over the edge. Long story short, he might have been understating how amazing this place was.
The scenery in Chesler Park is absolutely breathtaking. The full loop hike was a strenuous, 11 mile hike over challenging and varied terrain, all while surrounded on all sides by some of the coolest rock formations you'll ever see. If forced to complain about something, I will say that the cairn stones are at times too inconspicuous (especially in the Western section of the hike), the trail is poorly marked along the joint trail section, and these issues are only exacerbated if you travel in a clockwise direction (my advice, do the loop in a counter-clockwise manner). But all in all, the only hikes I've ever been on that I'd even put in the same sentence as this one are The Narrows at Zion National Park and Huangshan in Anhui, China.
Chesler Park blew everything I saw in Arches or the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands out of the water, and that isn't a slight on them, rather; the most glowing endorsement I could give for Chesler Park. Even if you aren't in good enough shape to do the full hike, take the drive down the bumpy dirt road and walk to the viewpoint overlooking Chesler Park. This is as "must-see" an attraction as I could think of. If you only have time to see one thing while in the Moab area, this should be it. You won't be disappointed"
