Are you feeling it? Fall is for sure in the air today and it feels like hiking weather! Have you hiked here? It's one of Chattanooga's lesser known trails. It doesn't boast an overlook or a waterfall but that doesn't make it any less special. This area is steeped in history and Fall/winter is the best time to hike here! Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate Moccasin Bend for its peaceful nature walks and historical significance, particularly its 12,000 years of human habitation. It's seen as a good spot for families and those seeking a quiet escape. However, some find it disappointing due to a lack of visible artifacts and clear signage, with expectations not always matching the reality of a simple walking trail.

"This is a sweet trail for familes with grade school age children but need water and bug spray and to hold on to the kids as you pass the river it's a wall of boulders down, would not want them climbing down. Otherwise its a flat course that can take 30min - 1hour thru the woods. The last quarter mile is alongside the golf course. The people who say bike it like a hard trail, I prefer roads to bike."

Catherine Hendee

"When I came to this area all I found was a trail through a good size field ending at the river across the field this is extremely disappointing considering I was looking for the rail road tracks and etc. in the pics posted about this area I feel this is extremely misleading."

Alan MILLIGAN

"We were hoping to see some archeological artifacts, but there were none. Our Google directions first took us to some field with nothing there, then we finally found a walking trail. Which is exactly what it is…. A walking trail and that’s it. If we wanted a walk, then it’s fine.

No real views though. Just a walk in the woods.

We were needless to say, disappointed."
