What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Charleston's culinary tours for their delicious food, engaging guides, and immersive cultural experience. Many highlight the generous portions and the insightful historical context provided. While generally highly rated, some find the walking portions can be a bit much for those with mobility concerns, and a few wish for more variety in certain tastings.
"FUN!!! This experience was one of my favorite in Charleston. Martha was very knowledgeable in her cooking skills as well as the culinary history of Charleston. The class was well organized and everyone was able to participate. We made a delicious Huguenot Torte, homemade pimento cheese and fluffy buttermilk biscuits. I would definitely recommend this tour!!!!!"

"Our tour guide, Jessica, was phenomenal! She kept the conversation going with sharing historical facts, fun food facts and soliciting reviews from each stop. The group was small, five people, which made it easy to engage everyone and enjoy casual conversation during the tour. Jessica shared that she wasn’t from Charleston but you would never know it based on all the history she shared. She knew her city and food facts! Four total stops with three main course options and one dessert. By the time we got to dessert we had to take it to go because we were so full! We enjoy a food tour at each new city we visit and this tour ranks among our top three for food and guide personality."

"Amelia was quite the foodie + historian who shared amazing dishes as well as stories of the people and the area. I have done other culinary tours, and comparatively, there was less walking but more food at each stop. We enjoyed trying a wide variety of local cuisine. Ending with the famous cake that Tom Cruise gifts people was pretty cool."
