What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bear Creek Golf Complex is highly praised for its immaculate course conditions, particularly the Bear Course, offering lush fairways and greens year-round. Visitors appreciate the fair pricing and excellent practice facilities. However, some find the on-course amenities like water stations and restrooms to be lacking, and a few have experienced disorganization with staff.
"Me and my group play a lot of golf all over the East Valley and Bear Creek has turned into one of the top public municipal courses in the Phoenix area. Ever since their course superintendent changed some years back and fixed their drainage and other things it has become immaculate from tee to green and everything in between. Played today in 112 degrees and you would have thought it was March how lush it was. Driving Range and practice area is big and most important all well maintained grass. Price is always fair throughout the year and tee times available. Four sets of tees and the tips play real long. Don’t forget about the incredible “par 3” course on the same property and which is also not a short track. Landscaping just as immaculate as the Bear course."

"Really nice golf course. The areas that need to be maintained, fairway, tee box, green, etc. are very lush and green. Don't be deceived by the dirt, it really is a hazard space. I think the pricing was a little high for the course, but the carts were in excellent condition as well as everywhere else. Staff was friendly and pace of play was pretty good, for a Monday. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town"

"Easy course. Course is well kept and lots of little wildlife along the way to keep it interesting. Only real issue I have is that the course never stops at the clubhouse at any point for like a halfway snack, drink and bathroom break. Drink cart only came around one time the whole round so not being able to stop at the clubhouse ourselves was a bummer. Barely any bathrooms along the course as well, and no water tanks either. If they fix that issue the course would be a great basic and easy course."
