Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Causey Reservoir's stunning scenery and calm waters, making it a top spot for paddleboarding and kayaking. While the mud can be a challenge and crowds can be significant on weekends, the breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere make it a worthwhile destination for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. InstagramReddit

"Absolute great time!! Parked at the bottom - but you can definitely park up top. It's just super steep to walk back up with kayaks. Be careful launching your paddle board or kayak - the mud is super yuck and thick - will snap your flip flops. I completely ate it - getting out of my kayak to leave. The mud is unforgiving and reiks of crap, bring water socks if possible, my daughter was a beast with hers. There is a restroom at the base, but bring toilet paper - there was none. Some guy gave me some of his to use!! Folks were so kind and sweet there too... got my kayak stuck in mud while in it and some guy came to help. There's plenty of areas to pull over and dismount to explore. Some folks were climbing the rocks to cliff dive. No motorized boats or crafts and life jackets are required for everyone on the water - regardless of age. I ended up taking mine off, to assist in correcting my tan. Water was calm, but would pick up when the wind got going. Will definitely return."
