What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Glendale Farm Open Space for its beautiful prairie views and the excellent off-leash dog park, making it a favorite for pet owners. The accessible trails, including a paved section, are also a plus. However, the lack of shade and limited trash cans on trails are recurring concerns, requiring visitors to come prepared with water and a plan for waste disposal.
"This is a really beautiful off leash dog park nestled in Lone Tree off I-25. Not sure how long the trail is but probably just under 1 mile. This trail has a lot of switchbacks but there are plenty of shortcuts too if you’re not toting a wagon like I was. Definitely wear sunscreen and bring a hat there is really no shade/coverage but the open space and views are worth it! There were also other trails nearby outside of the dog area…lots to explore here!"

"It's been 2yrs since I've brought my pups and the open space has been updated. There is now North and South parking lots and entrances with added porta potties.
They have 2 electric charging stations. The top portion is paved so you can walk your dogs and bring a stroller.
The trail is a 1.6 mile loop. Beautiful views and the terrain is fun for the dogs to run around and play. Our dogs had a great time.
Disappointed I couldn't find any trash cans on the loop only dumpsters in the parking lot. People were leaving poop bags around the Open Space.
Please bring your own water. No water available, only bowls."

"Beautiful dog park filled with friendly dogs and mostly responsible pet owners. There is an accessible sidewalk as well as rock paths throughout. Two small huts and a stand of gamble oaks provide seating and shade. It’s a huge park with plenty of spaces for pups to play fetch, explore, and socialize with new friends. The native plantings are beginning to mature and fill in bare areas. The only cons are no water and the interstate noise."
