What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the authentic historical experience and the charm of the restored logging town, especially the iconic steam train rides. While the scenic beauty and unique cabin stays are highly appreciated, some find the dining options limited and wish for better signage or more visible historical markers for certain features.
"The train ride is a must do, I have done both the long and short. The company houses are fun to stay in and great for families. The only thing I wish they would do better is showing the burned down mill, and some better signage. Cass is a beautiful town and I will be back again!!"

"Great place to visit. Like taking a step back in time.
Old logging town near Snowshoe Mountain that has been restored. Community store with unique gift items, old soda counter with ice cream, and old drug store counter. Restaurant where you can sit and relax and have a bite to eat. Museum featuring many items that were once used in the logging industry. Theater were you can learn more about town history. Walking tour of town. Train rides that take you through the mountains. Also buildings that have been redone and are available for overnight stays."
