What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Letort Park is a beloved community space with a recently updated playground that's a hit with families. Visitors appreciate the natural beauty of the creek and pond, as well as the sports facilities. Some concerns include occasional litter and the need for better restroom maintenance and supervision of children.
"Letort Park has some amazing potential. The playground for kids was recently updated within the past couple of years and is very nice. The pavilion is also nice but tends to be used by locals as a place to smoke their cigarettes and hang out for long periods of time making it uncomfortable for families to enjoy. The splash pad is great for local kids to come and cool off during the hot summer months. The Letort Creek is a beautiful spot to watch the ducks but could use some consistent clean up as trash often compiles in the many trees which act as strainers. For now, I would say it is important for parents to supervise their kids while at the park. Many kids are unsupervised and dont know how to act appropriatly in a public setting. This is a park from my childhood however so a remain hopeful that the borough and its residence will help make this place the safe park that I remember."

"Since the renovations, this park is fantastic! It has all the features needed for a fun visit with kids: swings, climbing structures, a seesaw, merry-go-round, a tire and saucer (rope bottom) swings, a stream nearby, bathrooms (when they are open...come on, guys, open these already), a splash pad in the summer, pavilions, shaded areas, and grassy fields to run around in.
I'm so glad they cleared it out and put in the new ground and playground structure, so great!"

"We absolutely loved this park! Lots of swings and the newer playground is awesome. So many things to do and decent amount of places to sit. We loved looking at the ducks and all the open grassy areas. Would be a good place for a picnic."
