What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking ocean views and the unique experience of exploring tide pools on the rocky shoreline. The well-maintained park offers great picnic spots and is a popular choice for photography and family outings. Some note that direct swimming access is limited and that the most famous lighthouses are just outside the park.
"We had our annual State of Maine Staff Day here. The parking lot is a decent size, they have bathrooms right next to it and a nice size playground as well. We walked up a little incline to a shelter with a fairly large grassy area. It was really nice and completely surrounded by trees so other people coming in couldn’t really see us. It helped that the day was beautiful and we had clear skies with a strong breeze. The shelter had plenty of outlets and lighting. The grassy area was relaxing to sit out on. They have a bunch of picnic areas out asking the ocean. There’s no beach here with water access which is kind of a bummer as we love to get in after our activities, but the views were breathtaking. We climbed the little hill by the parking lot and you can see forever. This was a really nice place overall and we may be coming back at some point."

"Beautiful veiws with rocky shore. Tide pools are neat to explore at low tide. Love bringing our dog here to walk along the paths. The park is very well maintained. They have shelters to rent for large gatherings or free first come, first serve picnic table areas, most with charcoal BBQ stands. The picnic areas are well spread out with different settings. Some in sun, some in shade. Some have space for fun and games."

"This state park was a once in a lifetime experience for our family while on vacation from VA! My three boys were in heaven climbing the rocks, exploring tidal pools, and even catching a glimpse of a seal in the water! It was so peaceful and beautiful. Even on an overcast day with some fog, it was spectacular. There are several picnic tables and sitting areas to just enjoy the view. There is a playground and bathroom facilities. If you are looking for an amazing Maine coastline location for an engagement event or family photos (or even senior photos), this is it! Cost for non-Maine residents was $7 per person. Less for Maine residents. (*This is NOT the location to see the two lighthouses that Two-Lights road leads to. For that, continue to the left on the road instead of entering the park and visit the Lobster Shack down the road.)"
