What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Sunburst Falls' stunning roadside beauty, especially during fall. While parking is limited and the scramble to the lower falls can be steep, the unique charm of the falls and the historic bridge make it a worthwhile stop for a quick photo or a refreshing, albeit cold, dip.
"If you haven't taken these NC backroads to the falls yet, DO IT! You can see the falls from your car, you don’t even have to get out unless you want to. This route hits all the gorgeous small, insider spots and avoids crowds until the last hr on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be careful; the falls are right on a curve. It was busy due to the fall colors, but not bumper to bumper yet. It is considered to be located above Waynesville, Canton, etc. It is worth the ride!"

A distinctive mountain stop!"

"Beautiful falls on both sides of the road. We swam in it during the month of October. We brought a thermometer. Water temp was 50 degrees. Air temp was 55. So worth it."
