"The International Boxing Hall of Fame captures the unique story of the sport of boxing like nowhere else. The museum features the world famous Madison Square boxing ring that was used from 1925-2007. The ring hosted some of the most famous fights of all time. On top of that they have gloves worn by famous boxers, colorful boxing robes, title belts, fist casts, and statues of boxers.
To enjoy the museum you don’t need to have a deep knowledge of boxing. The museum does a good job explaining the significance of certain fights and giving a history of the sport of boxing. If you do know a lot about boxing then it will be easy to spend hours here.
The hall’s “Wall of Fame” is where they have plaques of all the great boxers in the sport. On the wall you can see greats such as Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, George Foreman, and Floyd Mayweather. There are also many boxing promotional posters and tickets from major fights throughout history.
The museum is easy to access as it is right off the NYS Thruway. The museum has two different buildings of boxing history and artifacts. There’s something for everyone to see here."

"While this is the youngest Hall of Fame we visited, it clearly is the one with the most heart. It is packed with amazing boxing memorabilia, from gloves, wraps, robes, hand casts, tickets, programs and photographs. For boxing fans, there is such a wealth of precious memories in every step. The rooms were well organized with amazing items.
There are two buildings to visit, the 2nd housing the original ring from Madison Square Garden and the gift shop. The gift shop includes a vast selection of autographed and authenticated items in all price ranges.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff. So friendly, helpful, informative and professional, starting with Executive Director Ed Brophy. He welcomed us and told us amazing stories about some of the artifacts. He is the ultimate fan and storyteller. He made us feel special in this very special place.
We highly recommend visiting the International Boxing Hall of Fame (less than 30 minute drive from Syracuse)."
