Reviews Summary
Battery Park is praised for its stunning sunset views over Lake Champlain and its peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and family outings. However, some visitors have noted concerns about loitering and feeling unsafe at night, suggesting daytime visits are preferable. Mosquitoes can also be a nuisance during warmer evenings.
"One or two spots to see the views of the lake and Adirondack mountains. Nice large green area, some benches, and some historical information and statues. A lot of loitering that made it feel a bit unsafe - wouldn't walk through here at night, but was a nice stroll during the day."

"Perfect Spot to Relax and Enjoy the View
This is a great place to unwind and take in the magnificent views of Lake Champlain, especially during sunset—it’s absolutely beautiful and peaceful.
There’s plenty of space to sit and relax, making it ideal for a quiet break or a casual outing. A food truck nearby adds to the charm, offering snacks or a quick bite while you enjoy the scenery.
There’s also a play area for kids, so it’s a family-friendly spot where everyone can enjoy their time.
Whether you’re looking for a quiet moment or a simple hangout with good views and good food, this place is worth a visit."

"This park has beautiful views of Lake Champlain, but it seems to be a gathering place for some unsavory characters. There were some others there enjoying the sunset view of the lake, all while cussing, yelling, screaming and physical altercations were taking place in the middle of the park. City definitely needs to be doing more to mitigate this type of activity, especially when the police department is located right next to the park."
