What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Burlington Bay Beach for its scenic beauty, offering a mix of rocky and sandy shores perfect for exploration and photography. The convenient location near Two Harbors and the stunning views from the adjacent campground are frequently highlighted. Some note the limited permanent facilities and the unpredictable nature of Lake Superior for swimming.
"I went to Burlington Bay Beach to take some sunrise photos during a recent first-time visit to Two Harbors. Though I didn't get the images I was hoping for due to morning fog, I felt safe walking along with wooded path (as opposed to the paved path recommended by my friend) to the point in the pre-dawn hours. The tree roots were just as photographic as the lake, even more so due to the haze. There is a campground across the road which has spectacular views day and night."

"We stayed in the Burlington Bay Campground and had easy access to the beach. There are kayaks you can rent. There was plenty of parking available. You can take the trail into Two Harbors to the Pierhead Light. It is an easy walk."
Debby Black
"Quiet beach area in small bay of Lake Superior. When I visited, there was often a pop-up kayak rental station. Definitely a beautiful spot to launch a kayak trip to explore along the cliff area to the South.
No permanent bathrooms, but temporary portable potties were available on my visit.
~10 free parking spots. More parking along the road and nearby possible. No parking for larger trailers or campers."
