Visitors consistently praise the Lower Mountain Fork River for its stunning natural beauty and excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for trout. The river's clear waters and scenic surroundings make it ideal for a relaxing getaway, whether you're kayaking, canoeing, or simply enjoying the views. While it can get crowded, most find the experience well worth it.

"This place is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Fishing is awesome even if you don’t fly fish. I have yet to try using a fly rod and catch a ton of fish. Also the hiking trails offer amazing scenery. It does get crowded but people are usually very friendly and enjoying everything like you should be. Definitely recommend getting away for a vacation or weekend getaway. Camping is cheap if you can find a place well in advance but the cabins is where it’s at but kinda pricey but keep in mind there is a lot to do and the scenery is amazing so definitely worth it to me. They stock trout regularly so that makes this place a go to for me as often as I can."
