What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Adventure Park Discovery Museum for its challenging and fun aerial courses, creative elements, and rewarding zip lines, making it a great spot for active fun. However, some guests have had negative experiences with staff rudeness and the limited restroom facilities, which can detract from an otherwise enjoyable outing.
"What a great hidden gem! I took a 13yr, 15yr, and 2 17yr boys. They enjoyed it. There were courses for every age and skill level. I recommend bringing or purchasing gloves. They were tired at the end. They challenged themselves, and I didn't have to hear "I'm bored". Ziplining for the win! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they have a Planetarium in the Museum. They will be my next Discovery purchase if we don't revisit the Adventure Park first! Thank you, Groupon, for the suggestion! The only disappointment was the restroom situation. The Museum would not allow the Adventure Park patrons to use the facilities. The Adventure Park had port-a-potties and that's a HARD NO for me. It was a great experience overall."

"What an amazing adventure park. 5 different courses of varying difficulty and all are so much fun. The elements are creative and challenging, but rewarding. Super impressed with the length and quality of the courses. My 15 year old daughter and I spent almost 4 hours here and completed all the courses. The best part was the team members though. Each person was kind, helpful, and genuine. We've been to about 15 different adventure parks around the US and this was by far our favorite."

"Brought my 9 year old daughter and her friend for our first visit. The Adventure Park is extremely organized, patient with new climbers, safe and SO much fun. My daughter was nervous at first, but the instructors were so amazing and she gained confidence and didn't want to leave after 3 hours. We will definitely be back!"

Navigating the Ropes Courses
When you arrive, you'll typically be fitted with a harness and given a safety briefing. Instructors are usually on hand to guide you through the basics and answer any questions. It's important to listen carefully to the safety instructions, as they are crucial for a secure and enjoyable experience. Many visitors recommend bringing or purchasing gloves to improve grip and prevent hand fatigue or blisters, especially on longer climbs.
Plan to spend a good chunk of your day here, as completing all the courses can take 3-4 hours. The park often operates in timed sessions, so booking your slot in advance is a smart move, particularly during peak seasons. The combination of physical activity and the natural setting makes for a memorable outing.
Customer Service Experiences
Some guests have reported instances of staff being rude, unsupportive, or dismissive, particularly when dealing with nervous climbers or addressing concerns. One particularly detailed review highlighted a negative experience with a staff member scolding a child for not following instructions, which exacerbated the child's anxiety. Another review detailed a frustrating phone call with a staff member who was reportedly rude and hung up when asked to speak to a manager.
It appears that while the park offers a fantastic physical challenge, the human element can be inconsistent. It's advisable to approach your visit with an open mind, and if you encounter any issues, try to address them calmly and professionally, perhaps requesting to speak with a supervisor if necessary.
Beyond the Ropes: The Discovery Museum
One of the standout features mentioned is the museum's planetarium. Visitors have expressed pleasant surprise at finding this facility, suggesting it offers a different kind of engaging experience, allowing you to explore the cosmos. This dual offering provides a well-rounded day out, combining active outdoor fun with educational indoor exploration.
It's worth noting that while the Adventure Park has its own facilities, the restroom situation can be a point of contention. The park primarily offers port-a-potties, and museum restrooms are not accessible to park patrons. This is a practical consideration for planning your visit.
