"I've been kayaking here for years. Beautiful. Lots of wildlife. On a sunny days turtles of all sizes come out to sunbathe. So serene. Until you hear the ambulances in the background and realize your still in a city beyond all the still of nature. You can kayak all the way to the parkway but once you go under the parkway the water narrows and becomes more challenging with the current. Also, there are no bathrooms but there is a porter John. Spectacular vegetation always in bloom. Depending on the time of year, enjoy the lilypads and the scent of honeysuckles throughout."
