What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for the Manatee County Courthouse highlight its efficiency in handling public records, with many praising the ease of phone requests for certified documents. While the courthouse serves its civic function, some visitors have shared challenging personal experiences with the justice system within its courtrooms, noting frustrations with perceived biases and legal complexities. Interactions with security personnel have also received mixed feedback.
"This review is for how incredibly easy it is to get a public record from this office. I was able to quickly request certified copies of an old marriage license via phone and pay over the phone. This should be a model for all states and counties. It is much easier than most jurisdictions, where a physical mailing is required often with a money order or some other more onerous form of payment and they usually require you to send your own return envelope for the documents. I really appreciated the process here and the records assistant and the cashier were very helpful and pleasant over the phone."

"I represented myself in this courtroom .
I was nervous, me against everyone, no help, no attorney, just my evidence.. its extremely stressful to seek justice for the wrongs of others, but I spoke the truth .
There were many extremely questionable things about my experience with the Met Apartments, but in court I focused on what I could prove the stolen items. I was in hope of receiving some type of justice for this horrible experience,
I presented the emails I had as evidence, believing they would be enough, yet I still walked away with no justice. Everyone in that courtroom knew I was telling the truth, but I was told what I had was not enough to prove my case, I also take accountability for not being as prepared as I thought I was .
Although the court did not rule in my favor, I know that true justice will be served. God will see to it."

"Our justice system is beyond broken, men can go to court in JEANS & LIE with no consequences - It is designed to help men take advantage of people. Both Child Support and Divorces… I showed things my ex was hiding and how he manipulated our relationship to benefit himself just to be told I didn’t do enough. Judges seem to be bias every chance I walk into a court room. I honestly hope one day there is a Positive change for women’s rights. After all we still don’t have a say over our bodies and then the law fails in making a deadbeat Dad pay for his children."
