What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally have a positive experience at Montana State University, often highlighting the beautiful campus and strong community spirit, especially around athletics. While some note recent campus growth and development, the overall sentiment is that MSU fosters a good educational environment where students can thrive if they are proactive.
"I graduated from MSU in 2014, and I had a good experience. I remember the professors were impartial and fair, with nothing standing out in my memory to the contrary.
I visited again recently this year (2025) and the campus has grown a ton. There are several new buildings and renovations that have been completed since my time there.
The only issue that I had was there was a program for people that lived in Washington and Idaho to attend the school and not pay out of state tuition. I recall that I was initially charged the out of state tuition, but it ended up being a moot point I did not have to peruse due to attaining an ROTC scholarship.
I received my degree in Psychology, and while this school has a stronger agricultural and engineering focus, I still found that the psych program nested well as a scientifically focused degree, and it seemed to be well run.
MSU will foster your education, and you will get out what you put in."
