What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the magical, panoramic views from the summit of Oyster Dome, calling it a must-do hike. The well-maintained, forested trail is also a highlight. Some find the elevation gain challenging, and crowds can be significant on weekends.
"Trail was rated as moderate, but that's only for elevation change. The trail is well marked and quite easy to follow. We saw hikers of all ages and skill on the trail.
The views from the top are magical. Do this hike."

"We did not hike but we drove up from Alger. I do know you can hike up there from Chuckanut Dr and the hike is give or take 2 to 4 hours. But once you get to the top there's also other smaller trails or the hikes that you can do. We went there for the sunset but it was not visible so we just hung out and watched the ships and clouds. They have toilets but no water, just like campsites bathrooms. All in all still highly recommend, the one they add water five stars."

"Great trail. The full loop takes you to a lake with fireplace and camping facilities. Easily bring some sausages to cook mid hike. Gets chilly up top from the wind so bring a light jacket. Steep climb with gradual decline on the loop. Don’t forget the very sharp right when returning via the eastern loop."
