"Popular spot with an interesting manmade history. Would be perfect for paddle boarding and light water sports. Disappointed to see garbage, yet there are many bins, so the public must respect this place more as I have seen it as a bit of a party place but you get that weird desert people vibe out here. Gorgeous scenery and the local area is stamped with the mark of the industrial push in the Great Depression era. Trails have lots of old train routes and feels from a bygone era and black canyon had a glorious atmosphere for kayaking and SUP."

"Loved it here! Visited during spring so it’s not hot yet. We could enjoy the beach’s the water was a little cold but kids loved it!

We took some chairs to lounge. Packed a lunch and lots of water. Make sure you bring close toes water shoes as there are a lot of rocks. Restroom have always been clean.

Please leave the beach cleaner than how you found it. Take your trash with you.

We paid $25 and you have entrance for 7 days."
