What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bolton Potholes is lauded for its breathtaking natural beauty and refreshing swimming opportunities, with unique rock formations and cascades. However, the visitor experience is significantly hampered by severe parking limitations and strict enforcement, leading to frustration and the need for careful planning.
"While this place gets 5 stars for it's stunning beauty and awesomeness.....it deserves 1 star for the experience. No parking, no parking, no parking!! Why to you want to keep people from experiencing something so breathtaking? They need to come up with some kind of system to be able to better experience this place. Despite all the no parking signs, we figured we'd risk it, but maybe go to experience 15 minutes of it before heading back to our car in hopes it didn't get towed."

"Really a bummer that the parking situation sucks now. No parking signs are everywhere to keep people away from private property. Even the school parking lot forbids it and they have a trail that goes right to the falls. Dumb! This has really deterred a lot of people. Have to park along the highway and walk around. Oh well. Won't stop me from a good time."
Ashley Stuart
"Word to the wise! Folks live next to the potholes and their “no parking” sign is set back and very easy to miss if you’re pulling in south facing. I have sympathy for the summer swell of traffic near their home (especially since the school put up additional no parking signage) BUT they decided to “grease” the door handles and mirrors of multiple cars. This is potentially dangerous had we not been able to clean off the mirrors before our drive home. Park elsewhere or bring wet wipes. Happy & safe swimming!"
