"Fantastic Day at The Links at Bodega Harbour
Absolutely loved this course — picturesque in every way. The staff in the pro shop were welcoming and helpful, and the food and drinks at the turn were served quickly and hit the spot.
We played on a Saturday and the pace of play was excellent — finished ahead of schedule. The course marshal did a great job keeping us updated on groups ahead, which helped things flow smoothly.
Fairways and greens were in great condition, and we did our part fixing our many ball marks (a good problem to have!). Thanks to The Links at Bodega Harbour for a great experience — we'll definitely be back!"

"Proshop staff were wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind. Putting green was great, chipping green could us a bit of maintenance on the edges, practice nets were fine too.
Course was stunning and in great shape. Greens rolled true, teeboxes were clean and fresh, and the fairways and bunkers played perfectly. Had a fantastic round and will definitely be back!"

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
If you have golfers in the family, the experience of playing along the ocean is memorable. For younger children, the novelty of seeing wildlife or the dramatic ocean views might be engaging. However, the course's challenges and the presence of houses near fairways mean it might not be ideal for very young children to roam freely.
💰 Budget Travelers

If the cost of playing is prohibitive, you can still enjoy the scenic drive along Highway 1 and visit public access points like Doran Beach for beautiful coastal views without the golf price tag.
📸 Photography Enthusiasts
Be prepared for variable weather conditions; fog can add a moody, atmospheric element to your photos, while clear days offer vibrant blues and greens. A wide-angle lens is recommended to capture the expansive vistas, and a polarizing filter can enhance the colors of the ocean and sky. While access is primarily for golfers, the surrounding areas offer accessible viewpoints for capturing the essence of this beautiful coastal golf course.

The Coastal Golf Experience
However, this beautiful location comes with its own set of challenges. The coastal winds can significantly impact your shots, requiring players to adjust their strategy and club selection. Additionally, the proximity of houses to some fairways, especially on the opening holes, demands accuracy off the tee, as errant shots can lead to lost balls or even property damage. Despite these challenges, the sheer beauty of the surroundings often makes the round unforgettable.
For those looking to truly soak in the experience, consider walking the final holes (16-18) with a push cart. This offers a more intimate connection with the course and the oceanfront setting, providing a truly special way to conclude your game. The combination of challenging golf and unparalleled natural beauty makes The Links at Bodega Harbour a must-visit for golfers seeking a picturesque coastal escape.
Course Conditions and Playability
The course layout presents a mix of strategic challenges. While some holes are celebrated for their design and views, others are considered less interesting or are impacted by surrounding development. The opening tee shot, for instance, is described as nerve-wracking due to houses lining the fairway. The back nine, with its ocean proximity, is a clear highlight, offering dramatic playability and stunning vistas.
Despite occasional critiques of specific holes or conditions, the overall consensus is that The Links at Bodega Harbour offers a playable and enjoyable round, especially for those who prioritize scenic beauty. The staff's efforts to maintain pace of play and the welcoming atmosphere in the pro shop also contribute positively to the visitor experience.
