"Very nice, relaxing drive through nature. It was mid-day during the summer so we didn't see much other than some of the birds, but was still a nice way to relax and get out of the city. We will definitely be back in a different season to see what we see then. We also drove to the Manatee Observation Deck that is only a few miles away. We enjoyed seeing the manatees there...just chilling. Highly recommend as a way to slow down and take time out to enjoy nature."

"I love to visit Black Point Drive whilst on holiday in Florida. The wildlife is amazing and each visit is totally different.
Unfortunately on my last visit 3 weeks ago, I did notice whilst I was putting my $10 in the envelope people stopping to look at how much and then just driving through without making a payment!!!
I also noticed near the end of the trail three people with large nets looking to catch a Turtle and Unfortunately for the Turtle they succeeded and put it in the boot of their car. Never seen anything like this before and found it very upsetting 😡"

"Its a drive through place. You can stop at pullovers and stay to right and let others pass. Don’t drive in middle of road. There is a wild birding area with parking lot. Early morning or later afternoon is best time to see animals. In season, lots of herons, egrets some eagles, bobcats and owls. November through March are best birding months"
