What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Bundy Museum of History and Art as a hidden gem offering exceptional value. The restored historic home, unique 'Twilight Zone' exhibit, and early IBM-related artifacts are frequently highlighted as major draws. While the museum is small, its affordability and the knowledgeable, friendly staff make it a highly recommended stop in Binghamton.
"The Bundy Museum is a unique museum located in Binghamton, NY.The museum was home to Harlow Bundy who was cofounder of the Bundy Manufacturing Company, which is best known for its time recording/punch clocks. This company would later become IBM. Bundy built this three-story Queen Anne style home, which has recently been restored. On top of the home tour the museum also contains a rotating exhibit art gallery, a 1930’s barbershop, and memorabilia from Binghamton native Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone.
The home tour was very good and the guide explained everything about the house and the home’s owner Harlow Bundy. Different rooms in the house are re-created to look like the house that Bundy created. Some gems on the house tour include the stained glass windows, furniture, kitchen stove, and furniture.
In the house and in the annex you will see some early punch clocks developed by Bundy’s company. These were the first clocks in the world to record the time when an employee started their shift at work. The annex also includes a collection of Twilight Zone artifacts. The Twilight Zone artifacts are interesting and could not be found anywhere else. At least some of the Twilight Zone’s most famous episodes make allusions about the city of Binghamton, where creator Rod Serling was from.
The Bundy Museum offers a lot for a low price. It’s definitely worth taking a guided tour of the house to get a better understanding of it. The staff and guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Check the museum’s website or call ahead for hours. When visiting Binghamton you will not want to miss this museum!"

"Hidden gem in Binghamton, visited with my friend and had such a wonderful evening. Definitely recommend for people interested in art and architecture.
The interior is lavish in the dining and living room and austere in bedrooms(hidden behind shut doors).
I especially like the maidens room and am intrigued by her story (born in Pittsburgh and moved here for a better life).
Didn’t have enough time to try the grassroots coffee, maybe save for the next time."
