"This is another rather large picnic area that can be found on the north side of Big Bear Lake. The area is accessible off the Rim of the World Scenic Byway (Route 38) with numerous picnic tables and BBQ grills, all within a lakeside setting surrounded by natural features – we especially like the tall pine trees. There is also a rocky path leading down to the lake/beach area and a paved walking, running or biking trail, which is part of the North Shore Biking and Walking Trail. There are additional trails and boardwalks extending into a marsh, providing opportunities for nature walks. Finally, there is a single-stall vault toilet, one porta-potty and one recycling bin in the parking lot."
