What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors adore the Spadena House for its unique, fairytale-like architecture and its status as a quirky Los Angeles landmark. It's a quick, charming stop for photos. Some find it a bit underwhelming if expecting more than an exterior view, and parking can be a minor challenge.
"Lovely little Witch house on the corner of one of Beverly Hills' streets.
It belongs to an actual Real Stator who lives there and was allowed to Buy the house under the condition of keeping it the way it was, as a themed piece of art among the streets.
Apparently there are some tours allowed into the property on weekends. I didnt go in, but just looking at it from outside You feel like filming a Hollywood movie.
Don't miss it if You are around."

"If you find yourself with out-of-town relatives interested in seeing some of the most unique and expensive homes in the world, this is definitely a stop. You cannot tour the house but you can walk around the fenced area. You could easily spend 45 minutes looking at cool details. Research the history gives you even more insight as to the uniqueness of this house"

"I bet a lot locals don’t even know this place.
The Spadena House, affectionately known as “The Witch’s House,” is a whimsical architectural gem nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills.
Originally built in 1921 as a studio office and dressing room for Willat Studios in Culver City, it was relocated to its current location in 1926, where it was transformed into a private residence. Its storybook design, complete with intentionally uneven gables, tiny windows, and a charmingly dilapidated facade, makes it a standout attraction amidst the opulence of Beverly Hills.
Visitors often find themselves enchanted by the house’s fairy-tale appearance. The exterior features a whimsical garden with a quaint bridge and a pond, enhancing its storybook charm. While the Spadena House remains a private residence and is not open for interior tours, the exterior alone offers ample opportunities for photography and admiration. Many appreciate the owner’s efforts in maintaining the property’s unique aesthetic, often decorating it seasonally, which adds to its allure.
For those interested in unique architecture and a touch of whimsy, the Spadena House is a must-see landmark. Its proximity to other Beverly Hills attractions makes it a convenient and delightful addition to any sightseeing itinerary.
