"What a wonderful place, truly unlike anywhere else I’ve been. I give it the highest recommendation, whether you’re looking to take photos of the horses or spend a relaxing day on the beach. I went for three runs along the shoreline, and afterward we encountered the famous Assateague ponies. While they aren’t exactly wild, seeing them brought me right back to my childhood, when I would ride my pony bareback with the herd as they followed the stallion. (Yes—she ended up pregnant, and I got a new horse!)
