Visitors consistently praise the Los Angeles County Fire Museum for its historical significance, especially its connection to the 'EMERGENCY!' TV show, and its affordability. While small, the museum is well-maintained and provides a fun, educational experience for families.
"This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit and hear about the history of the TV show EMERGENCY that made such an incredibly impact on this country on Pre-Hospital Care, Healthcare and Law Enforcement. It is also a tribute to so many in public service and a memorial to many who have given their lives! The docents are incredibly knowledgeable and were all involved in public service during the time of the making of the show so are truly the experts. Equipment is maintained an absolutely immaculate condition and you have an opportunity to spend as much time and ask as many questions as you want. I highly recommend this as one of your stops if you are at all involved in public service and are in the Los Angeles area."

"Very impressed for a smaller museum. I am a huge EMERGENCY fan so that was the reason I came, to see the vehicles from the show. Along with those vehicles they had some beautifully restored older fire equipment! PRO TIP: Don’t tell them you’re affiliated with law enforcement, they’ll charge you double!! I am a retired LEO. I’m just kidding of course. Great people and very much worth the $5 admission fee."
