"My go to place to get away. There is so much to see and do,wether it's the miles and miles of trails,( Which I rarely stay on) horseback riding on the miles of horse trails, taking in the view from hickory ridge fire tower, boating on lake Monroe ,fishing in one of the many ponds ,lakes or streams,or camping one of the many campgrounds or along the trail. prefer wilderness camping myself,Wich is also allowed, spelunking, geode hunting, etc. there is something for everyone, wether as a family or alone. If you're looking to do a little dispersed camping my go to spot is Berry ridge road, although they're are nicer free camping spots with toilets at the many horse camps, such as Blackwell horse camp."

"Hiked the hemlock cliffs trail. Beautiful area even though it was dry and no water falls. We will definitely going back in the fall. Our national forests and parks are a living legacy to the beauty of our country and the dedicated individuals that fought for its protection. These precious resources are under attact by the very ones that should be standing up to protect and continue there preservation. Show you support for our national forests and parks and their staff. Speak up and enjoy our heritage."
