Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the reserve's serene atmosphere, unique ancient oak trees, and the peaceful experience due to low visitor numbers. Some find the trails poorly marked and mention the presence of poison oak and ticks as a concern. Reddit+2

"Have been here many times due to living in the area. It’s beautiful and serene. Great place to just be and take it all in. Love the fact not a lot of people go here. The oaks are gorgeous and make for fantastic photos. Saw a few rabbit, crows and a woodpecker. Some of the trails were a little muddy due to the recent rains, but nothing horrible. The people complaining about the trails not being clear or marked? Just enjoy nature and let them take you where they will. FYI there is a lot of poison oak, so warn and teach your kids what to look for. As well as ticks! We came home with a few hitchhikers, one being embedded in the collar of my son’s flannel. So really look well! Blech! next time we will use OFF!"
