What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center as a great place for appreciating art and experiencing community events. The 'Exonerated' exhibition is highlighted for its powerful message, and the black box theatre is recommended for shows. Some visitors note it's a nice place to see artwork.
"Gripping exhibition entitled "Exonerated." These busts tell the story of innocent men in prison for decades, whose convictions were finally overturned. Heartbreaking, that our system stole their lives, their freedom, their future. Imagine going in the system at 19 and being exonerated 35 yrs yrs later. No work history, no savings, no skills. All of that... taken by us, the citizens who allow the broken system to continue unchallenged."

"The Cary Saurage Community Arts Center is a great place to appreciate the work of Mike Weary and it's in a nice, accessible location off Government street, in downtown Baton Rouge. Art classes are available, there's an art studio, and the center hosts events and activities for the community! This is a great place for art lovers as well as those curious about the world of art and I encourage people to not only visit, but to also support the artists. Mike Weary is exceptionally excellent and easy to talk with about the possibilities. Check the Cary Saurage calendar and come out to the next event. I predict that it will be worthwhile."
