"2025: See video.
7/19/15: attended the Nerds gone Wild series. Not bad. Had chicken finger submarine and fries. Again not bad all. Just as always budget when attending. Draft Horses wanted to join in the review plus sheep and poultry plus rabbits too! They are having fun aș well!
2024
Enjoyed my late teenage years here during the Holstein open cattle show here! Lots to do here! Only thing of course what I think can be improved here if there are vendors that offer rides and games during the opening weekend. They do offer a lot of exhibits, shows and food/drinks! Plus they have a cool down station in 2024!"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make your family visit smoother, pack essentials like a lightweight stroller with shade, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Bringing snacks is also a good idea to keep little ones happy between meals. Remember to budget for food, drinks, games, and rides, as costs can add up. Having cash on hand is highly recommended due to ATM fees.
💰 Budget Travelers
To save money, consider packing your own snacks and drinks. This can significantly reduce your spending on consumables. Prioritize which attractions are most important to you – perhaps focusing on the animal exhibits and shows, which are often included with admission, rather than splurging on every ride and game.

Navigating the Fairgrounds
When planning your visit, consider the layout. The fairgrounds typically feature distinct zones for rides, food vendors, animal barns, and exhibition halls. Navigating between these areas is generally straightforward, but comfortable footwear is a must, as you'll likely be doing a lot of walking. Many attendees recommend arriving early, particularly on weekends, to secure good parking and beat the biggest crowds.
For families, the fairgrounds offer a wealth of activities. The presence of numerous kiddie rides and the opportunity to see various farm animals are often highlighted as major draws. However, it's also wise to be prepared for the elements. Bringing sun protection, staying hydrated, and considering a stroller for younger children can significantly enhance the experience.
Fair Food Frenzy
However, it's important to be mindful of pricing. Reviews often mention that food prices can be high, so budgeting accordingly is essential. Some visitors suggest packing snacks and drinks to supplement purchases and manage costs. Despite the expense, the culinary experience is widely considered a highlight, with many attendees looking forward to trying different offerings each year.
Beyond the typical fair fare, keep an eye out for specialty vendors. You might find unique regional dishes or artisanal food products. The sheer volume of choices means there's something to satisfy almost every palate, making the food experience a significant part of the overall fair visit.
