"An amazing afternoon on the water! Red & Sandy do a great job of setting up the kayaks and ensuring everyone is comfortable and ready to go. The kayaks are stable & comfortable. Red is a fantastic guide who looks after everyone and has some great knowledge and stories of the area and what to look for. We saw seals popping their heads up and saw the eagle nests and the eaglets! Amazing! Just made for a very enjoyable day!!!"

"Sunset kayaking with Acadia Sea Kayaking Adventures was absolutely wonderful! I don’t remember the last time I wrote a review for almost anything, but this experience was just so incredible. Red, our guide, was kind, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about sea kayaking, local wildlife, and the region’s history. He helped us spot three bald eagles and their nest as well as a few seals, and even without those, it was a stunning tour. As we had gorgeous views of the ocean sunset and the small surrounding islands, Red told us a little as well about the Native American tribes of the region and early colonial history. He took time to get to know everyone in this small tour, and he gave great recommendations for local restaurants and lesser known but worthwhile hikes. As an added bonus, we got to meet his wife, baby, and dog (whom Red aptly called the Mayor of the beach because of how friendly he was). I can’t recommend this group enough, and we plan to come back for more tours with this group next time we’re in Acadia."

"Great experience. I went on a morning “too easy” paddle which was around 2.5 hours for 3 miles and change or so. Nice spot to meet up. Not too crowded and easy to find. Good looking kayaks and safety equipment. Nothing is worn down or missing. The real gem of the company is the staff. The knowledge that pours from the guide Red is seemingly limitless. It’s not overdone and it’s not scripted or forced. He weaves comedy and education into his 2-3 hour paddle seamlessly and it was quite enjoyable. We saw eagles and seals often along with many other birds. The tour didn’t feel rushed or too difficult. He clearly has a passion for showing what the area has to offer and I highly recommend.
Checking out this family run outfit if you have a chance ( I hear the sunset or night kayak is way different) as I will whenever I come and visit Acadia again."
