Science camp but make it ocean conservation 🫡 🌊 Getting kids outside offline + in nature is the best way to create the next generation of conservationists! I only came for 2 days and left feeling so hopeful from these absolute changemakers!! Give them the reigns and we will be okay 🙌🏽 Mahalo s

We headed out to Bulls Island in Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday to see the island covered in snow. The highlight was the 1.5 miles of Boneyard Beach that our kids have started called ‘Big Toy’. Winter is a great time to go to Bulls Island, especially if the tide is low at mid-day so you can really enjoy the Boneyard. There’s really no place like it. Through the end of Februa...

"Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge actually stretches 22 miles along the coastline down to Bulls Island, just South of the Myrtle Beach area. The tour group we had, Coastal Expeditions, was awesome not just with the tour, but in their other associated programs that they run and giving tons and tons of information about the ecology and history of the area.

Great, beautiful area, definitely worth looking into a visit to Bulls Island and Boneyard Beach."

Skye

"Not actually the a Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge! This is a private camp. You cannot drive down the dirt road behind the metal gate."
