What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Phoenix Raceway as an amazing venue with friendly staff and a thrilling atmosphere, especially during race weekends. Many appreciate the family-friendly environment and the unique track features. Some note that bench seats can be uncomfortable and advise preparing for the desert heat.
"I've only ever been to PIR once but really enjoyed the three days of racing that I managed to see. Craftsman Truck Series, Busch and NASCAR over a Friday/Saturday/Sunday race weekend. Bench seats are uncomfortable, as is true in pretty much every racing venue I have ever been in. We were able to move around a fair bit on the Friday and sit in the shaded stands as many fans only come for the Saturday and Sunday race. Easy access to the infield and some areas you can walk around (but not the garages of course). Decent midway on the outside with the usual souvenir and food trucks. A bridge over the entrance lane to the pits allows for a few good shots but you cant stay there long (others want their turn) and its not accessible during the races. Decent overall facility, but its an arid and hot area so bring water with you. We had corporate village access on the race day sue to our provider Inside Track. Its a nice spot just outside the track where drivers may show up and where they have TV's in case you want to stay in the shade of the village during the race."

"What a great venue! I'm thinking about season tickets! This gem has been in my backyard all these years, and this was only my 3rd time. That will change. Parking was easy, and they have trams to take the people who don't feel like walking from the lots."

"The Shriners Children's 500 at Phoenix Raceway on March 9, 2025, was a thrilling event that showcased the very best of NASCAR racing. Christopher Bell's remarkable performance, securing his third consecutive win, highlighted the race and underscored his dominance this season.
The race was filled with intense competition, with Bell leading 105 of the 312 laps. His ability to maintain composure under pressure, especially during the overtime finish where he held off teammate Denny Hamlin, was truly commendable.
Fans were treated to high-speed action, strategic pit stops, and edge-of-the-seat moments that kept everyone engaged from start to finish. The atmosphere at Phoenix Raceway was electric, reflecting the passion and excitement that NASCAR consistently delivers.
Overall, the Shriners Children's 500 was a testament to the skill and determination of the drivers, the teams' efficiency, and the fans' unwavering support. It was a race that will be remembered for its excitement and the remarkable achievement of Christopher Bell.First time at this track. Its an amazing venue!"
