What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Civic Center Park is appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere, ample parking, and family-friendly amenities like a disc golf course and trails. Visitors enjoy its natural beauty and tranquility. However, some concerns have been raised regarding water quality and the use of plastic erosion control materials.
"This is a nice park, but I continue to have concerns about the quality of the water coming onto the property in the east side, near the sports field, and also the use of plastic erosion control / grass seeding mesh, which degrades into microplastics. This latter issue is state-wide, as the state still allows this material in construction sites. But each city could see the writing on the wall and stop using it: it will be banned, it's only a matter of time until the link between health and microplastics is shown. The sooner we stop using it, the healthier we will leave the environment for future generations."
