What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Zoo Atlanta for its well-maintained enclosures, clean facilities, and friendly staff, highlighting the impressive animal collection, especially the giant pandas. Some reviewers note that extra attractions and food can be pricey, and suggest packing a picnic. The zoo's location in a revitalized area is also a positive point for many.
"I usually get through zoos pretty quickly but this one took me 3 hours! If you are taking your time, I think you could spend much longer. I was really impressed by the zoo. All the enclosures looked great and the animals looked very well taken care of. I also enjoyed the giraffe feeding which was priced reasonably. For parking, I suggest paying for the day so that you don't rush. When you paid the parking they say most people take 3 hours, but honestly I think you could make a whole day out of it. My only suggestion would be for the cafe. There weren't that many food options, particularly healthy ones. If they could add some more grilled chicken options that would be great. For example, a grilled chicken sandwich that's not doused in buffalo sauce."

"Enjoyed the visit! Parking was a little difficult to find, main lots full (we came after noon) there is a parking garage behind the zoo. 3 left turns, must have credit card to pay parking fee. Kid merry-go-round, train and adventure climbing are all extra $. The goat petting is free and fun for kids!"
