"A very beautiful park. There is a walking trail that is paved. It goes around the entire lake. We came at the end of summer and there were 30+ turtles we saw. There are a few covered pavilions and picnic tables around. The dog park available. Right next to bear hollow zoo and a playground. Has picnic shelters that are covered."

"This is my favorite park in the area. It’s in a neighborhood and has quite a bit of wooded area for a city park. There’s a zoo nearby for animals that can’t be released into the wild. There’s a pool and basketball court. Lots of turtles reside in the lake. It’s a bonus when you spot the Great Blue Heron. The walk around the walk is less than a 1000 steps. The playground is nice and clean. They have restrooms nearby. There are quite a few pavilions that you can rent out for parties and birthdays. This is family friendly park. The dog park is nice but I had to leave the last couple of times because of problematic dogs. I’m so glad this is available right in the middle of Athens!!!"
