Navajo Lake State Park sits in both Colorado and New Mexico. It is a pretty large lake and one I have to get back to with a boat. So fantastically beautiful. The water was nice for swimming and the fishing, well, the person we met up with caught 4 small bass. Not big enough to keep. My son and I caught none. But we had a great time and it was a beautiful place to end the vacation my son and I t...

Reviews Summary

Navajo State Park is a beautiful destination with excellent amenities, particularly for RV campers, offering full hookups and spacious sites. Visitors rave about the stunning lake for water sports and the unparalleled stargazing opportunities. However, some note that water access can be challenging due to muddy shorelines and the water temperature is often cold.

"We arrived today at Navajo State Park. We stayed at the Rosa Campground. Site 138, lakefront. The reservoir is very low this time of year (mid September) and the water is way down there. But it is still very pretty. All the sites in Rosa are pull thru. Some sites have a covered shelter. They all have electricity, water and sewer. Fire pit and picnic table of course. The shrubs are nice but don’t expect too much privacy or shade. The altitude is 6150 ft so even in mid September it’s cooler. Temp at 4pm today is 77*. Tomorrow it’s in the 60’s. I would come back."

"Overall, I thought Navajo State Park was pretty nice. It's not often a state park has full hook ups for an RV. The sites themselves are of decent size, enough space for Cornhole and such. There was a decent hiking trail just off the site that you can take for quite a while if you want. I did about 2.5mi one way and didn't see the end. The marina and boat launch are pretty nice as far as boat launches go. I'm sure I'll be back down there again, to check out more of the lake. Water was a bit cold so we didn't spend a whole lot of time out there."

"We stayed in the park two nights with our 42 ft 5th wheel. We stayed in the Carracas campground at site 57. This site had a little pavilion off the back that provided some shade over a picnic table. Not all sites have a pavilion. 57 was plenty big enough for our truck and trailer with room to spare. Plenty of space between each site. Close to the lake, restrooms with showers were not far from our site and are well kept. Dumpster all around the campground and a water spigot close."
